Hi, I’m Val.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2015 with a BSc in Biology and a BA in Spanish Studies. So far, I have spent my post-graduate life traveling, teaching English abroad for 2 years in Madrid, Spain, and working for GetMyBoat, a startup based in San Francisco that is the “Airbnb of Boats” and water experiences around the world. I now live in Australia, where I am working and traveling for most of 2018.

I like to think of myself as an avid traveler, coffee addict, passionate writer, environmentalist, and a health & fitness enthusiast.

Welcome to my space on the Internet, my place where I share all of these interests.

Before anything else, I am a travel writer, telling my stories here on my blog and using them as inspiration for longer pieces.

I have visited 35+ countries over 4 continents, I am constantly seeking to cross more and more places off my list, a list that seems to grow longer with each trip I take. I have also extensively traveled within Spain, and now I know the country as a second home.

I hope that this blog inspires people to seek out adventure in their own lives, much like how I look for it in mine. Every day is an opportunity for new adventures, experiences, and life lessons to be learned. Without an open mind and a bit of wanderlust, so many great things pass us by.

In addition to running this blog, I also have an active YouTube channel where I post travel and other videos from my life. It’s mostly just for fun, but I have created a bit of promotional content and am always open to taking on new projects 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Looks like Hungary, Spain, Poland, etc. Anyways, we’re looking for smart travel bloggers to join our community at Yonderlist, and we’d love for you to come rate some of the places you’ve been. Reviewing places can also earn your blog more exposure. Swing by for a visit! http://www.yonderlist.com/for-bloggers
