First GPSMyCity Giveaway of 2019!

Can’t believe it’s already 2019! Have you started working on your #travelgoals? So far I’ve gone from Australia -> Los Angeles -> Minnesota and now writing this from Costa Rica!

I’m here to let you know about another giveaway of my GPSMyCity articles.

When you’re in a new city, and you don’t know where to go, it can be helpful to have a guide. But not everyone wants an energetic, university student waving an umbrella and shouting at them and 30 other people as they try to discover a new city. Private, one-on-one tours with a professional guide can be pricey, and lock you into walking around, even if you see a cool spot you’d like to stumble into.

A great solution and alternative to the traditional guided tour is GPSMyCity.

This is a way to create your own tour by choosing articles written by travel writers guide you to different points of interest. GPS travel articles have specific coordinates embedded in the article. This serves as a virtual tour guide for you as you navigate your way around a new city. You can read the writer’s recommendations and get insider tips as you go. This method of touring also allows you to pause if you stumble upon something interesting. The app has thousands of travel guides about both tourist sights and off-the-beaten-path spots in over 1,000 cities.

A few of my articles from this blog have been converted to guides that you can download on your travels, including Cairns City in Australia, Sarajevo in Bosnia, Ljubljana in Slovenia, and Highlights of Marrakech in Morocco.

With GPSMyCity, after the app has been downloaded to your mobile device, you can use it without any internet connection. This is a huge bonus when you are visiting a new country beyond your mobile carrier plan.

You can access city walks on your iOS or Android device in two different ways:

1. Download via the links I’ve included in this blog post
2. Download the GPSMyCity app and browse for articles in your selected destinations to download.

I’m also excited to announce that this week only, through February 19th, I am giving away my Guide to Ljubljana article for free > Click the link to download now! 🙂
